“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm my great army that I sent among you.
You will have plenty to eat, until you are full,
and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you;
never again will my people be shamed.” | Joel 2:25-26
I hear the Lord saying, “I am the God of restoration, and I will restore the years that you believed were too far lost to ever recover. I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27) Lay it all at My feet—your broken heart, hurting relationships, lost hope—and let Me do My mending and healing. The sun is setting on past disappointments, and a new day is dawning. Do not be afraid to hope for and expect the very best. I tell you, do not look to the former, for I am doing a new thing in your relationships and in your life.
“Surely I tell you, your latter years will be greater than that which you have ever experienced. I am going to take the very disappointments and things that which you have written off as a loss, and I will breathe My life into your circumstances! You will rejoice greatly in My faithfulness and My salvation (Psalm 35:9).
“In this hour, I am turning the hearts of fathers towards their sons, and the hearts of the sons towards their fathers. In the same way, I am also turning the hearts of mothers and daughters back towards one another. Watch as I restore that which the enemy has sought to bring strife and get a foothold in these relationships. I am going to turn it all around. Again, I tell you the truth: I am bringing healing, restoration, and renewal to the very areas the enemy had once tried to destroy!”
Yet if [the enemy] is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house. | Proverbs 6:31
“I am binding up the things that have caused My people to be brokenhearted. Hearts will become united once again, and a great healing shall take place in the areas where there had once been misunderstanding and false accusation. You will receive a double portion: honor for your former shame. ‘Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours’ (Isaiah 61:7).
“I am cleansing and purifying bloodlines, and I am uncovering generational blessings. ‘And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations’ (Isaiah 61:4). Be encouraged! I am the God of healing and restoration, and I will restore unto My people the years that the locust has eaten. Rejoice! Truly, your best days are ahead.”
