The world watched in awe of God’s great glory manifest as a solar eclipse on August 21st. Millions were captivated as the greatest natural power source, (the sun) was eclipsed by something so much smaller and dependent upon the suns light to shine in the darkness (the moon). America and the world watched You’ll unified a moment of peace as our mighty God demonstrated His beautiful handiwork in the sky.
One of the most anticpated stages of the eclipse was the viewing the diamond-ring effect. “The diamond-ring effect occurs at the beginning and end of totality during a total solar eclipse. As the last bits of sunlight pass through the valleys on the moon’s limb, and the faint corona around the sun is just becoming visible, it looks like a ring with glittering diamonds on it. I truly believe that The Great Eclipse of 2017 was a miraculous show of God’s authority given to us here on this earth. The natural phenomenon was a reminder to believers that we are now His holy signet ring bearers–vessels of the delegation of the highest authority and honor in the universe (that of Jesus Christ Himself). The beautiful diamond ring of fire and light has been placed in our hearts. The Fire of the Holy Spirit within, the light of the truth of God’s word shining even in darkness, the cleansing blood of Christ as a sacrafice of love to us from the Almighty God and His divine protection of us as we abide in His Holy shadow are all clearly evident in this wondrous show of light in darkness.
“Haggai 2:23, In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel (meaning “Seed born of Babylon”), my servant, the son of Shealtiel (meaning “I have asked of God”), saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.” –Haggai 2:23
We are His chosen ones and we now wear the seal of His signet, the authority of the King of Kings. Never forget the authority delegated to all of His chosen ones (believers). We are vessels of Christ in the earth, here to bring His peace in a place of upheaval and chaos. In Luke 10:19, Jesus says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
That beautiful ring that revealed itself so brightly in the blackened sky was but a tiny unveiling of His glory. It gave the entire world a glimpse of the eternal inheritance of God’s great Kingdom, one whose greatness man cannot fathom. Nothing we create here on earth can match its splendor. The amazing part of all of this is that we, as believers, are a living legacy of the true and living God. We are His signet and His precious blood and the covenant of Grace has issued us this authority as Sons of God.
Christ not only defeated death, hell and the grave, but He rose again to defeat every power appointed by man in this corrupt world system. He restored the authority and relationship that Adam lost due to sin. This happened at the site of His burial when He breached the tomb and the Roman seal was broken. “So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone (rolled in front of the tomb to keep Christ inside and his followers out), and setting a watch.” –Matthew 27:66.
[The tomb was sealed with a stone and then roped and marked with the signet of The Roman King, most likely stamped in clay on the stone. The rope and seal were added to show evidence of tampering and to signify that the crucifixion was by supreme order of the King. The signet (ring/seal) represented the authority of the King. It was much like a signature or cosign of authority. If you came bearing the Kings signet or the signet ring of your family (like the prodigal son was given) you had the authority of the king/head of the family delegated to you. ]
But Jesus…
“And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.” –Matthew 28:2-7
That signet of pure precious heavenly light (which we all saw presented to us in that eclipse–) is a reminder to you, chosen one. You are the light and salt of the earth. You hold the delegation of the authority of Christ within you. The power of His Holy Word is in you and upon you. His glory is in you and upon you. The Spirit of the true and living God is in you and upon you. Allow it all to work through you.
Labor (believe, hope, trust and have faith) to rest in the finished work of Christ. Know that you have authority over sickness, disease and addiction. Know that you have authority over lack and poverty. Know that you have authority over strife and division in your relationships and family. Know that you have authority over failure. Know that you have authority over depression and mental illness. Know that you have authority over death, destruction (including natural storms) and mayhem. Know that you have authority over perversion and sin. Know that you have authority over loss and legal injustices. Know that you have authority over confusion and hatred. Know that you have authority over pride. Know that you have authority over lack and disobedience in every area of your life!!
Use your authority!! Speak to the mountain!! “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”–Mark 11:23.
You bear the ring, the Holy signet of the Risen King!! All the authority of Heaven has been delegated to you to bring light to darkness and bring Kingdom here to earth. You must first BELIEVE it beyond any shadow of doubt. Then, activate your faith and walk into the authority that has already been delegated to you as an heir of the Kingdom of God. Don’t forget that you bear the signet, that Holy ring of divine truth, honor and authority.
