The Living Word Daily Devotion (Grace World): “Remember The Miracles”

“The easiest way to get through that obstacle is to remember the miracle. Create a mental museum of your past victories, you will need to tour them for confidence of tomorrow’s fight.”

– Joseph Bourdilon

Hey! Welcome, I’d like to start with something funny. The funny thing is, I really don’t have something funny hehe. Okay, thank you for giving me your undivided attention. It’s never too late to use this devotional. Don’t forget to share this piece with everyone, God bless you.

We all have things we don’t wish to remember: the addiction we broke, the disapproval six months ago, the divorce and the first job. But, we can remember the good: the times you broke through, moments you made the right decisions, times when you had people’s applause. Don’t allow the defeat erase your past victories.

David was going to face Goliath in a contest betwixt Israel and the Philistines. David did not say, “My brother warned me, I’m supposed to be on the fields, I’m not big enough.” Instead, he remembered his past victories. 1 Samuel 17:34-“And David said unto Saul, “Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: Because David understood this principle, he went ahead and won in life.

When Elisha returned to Jordan he thought, “Where is the God of Elijah?” He knew what had happened minutes ago when Elijah struck the water with his rod, because he knew this principle, to recall the victories, the past miracles, the good days. God would always speak to the Israelites like this, “I am the Lord that brought you out of Egypt.” God knows how to remind us our victories. He doesn’t say “I saw you when you failed, even though he was there. Or, “I cut you last week at Guinness stores hehe.”

God reminds us of the good, and the scriptures say we have the mind of Christ. Today, change your perspective. Start remembering your past victories, and I see God lining up good breaks on your path in Jesus name. If you received it can you say Amen. God bless you. Instead of inviting thoughts of failure, welcome thoughts of good moments, when you broke free, passed the test, finished college and married the girl, those are the best memories right now, especially the last one hehe.

Well, thank you for reading. JESUS IS LORD!
