We often define sufficiency from an earthly perspective. Conventional knowledge defines sufficiency as enough or adequate (not too little and not too much). But the Grace of God is more than just adequate. Jesus’ sufficiency is perfect. It fills to the point of overflowing. A study of the Greek word for sufficient, [ARKEI], reveals so much more about the attributes of His Grace. This word means: ‘to be possessed of unfailing strength, to be strong, to suffice, to be enough, to defend, ward off, to be satisfied, to be contented.’
- His Grace is more than enough for EVERY area of our lives.
- His Grace is dunamis (Explosive Power, Ability, Might) and unfailing strength–manifested perfectly without our assistance
- His Grace is strong despite our weaknesses and frailties.
- His Grace is multiplied in our humility, giving Him full access to our situation by faith.
- His Grace suffices (fills and overflows with help) for every need we may encounter.
- His Grace is our protection.
- His Grace provides prevention and a buffering shield. (He wards off the Enemy. Remember Satan is already a defeated foe)
- His Grace provides fullness/wholeness of life.
- His Grace provides comfort, happiness and supernatural peace of mind.
“…My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness…”
